It's my birthday, hurrah!

Izzy is over and we just watched two series of IT Crowd. I think it fried my brain a little, but hey it's all good! Now we are lying around and watching Easy A. I love Emma Stone soooo much.

It's been a while but I want to start posting here again more, even if LJ is such a bitch.

A while back my computer's LCD screen was broken, but it's finally getting fixed and I am so excited. I am so sick of using this tiny thing. It is unfun to type on! And I miss my Sims. It should be ready soon. And on Monday we are going to Drexel's for birthday breakfast and I am excited. Drexel's is amaaazing.

I got black curtains and put them up so I could finally say goodbye to the pink ones. Ness can have her curtains back! Though really we should wash those...

But YAY BLACK CURTAINS! They are JUST long enough to reach the windowsill but hush! I love them :D And they look amazing with my purple lights over them. I also bought a very cheap but very nice shirt (we were at the warehouse, this entire purchase was pretty darn cheap) and the shirt not only suits me, but I look hot in it.

SO HAH! THINGS ARE AWESOME!

Other things in the list of awesome that is today? Watching movies with my Leah, and Dirty Life coming back. I am going to write some Nicholas and Hannah SO hardcore! Eeeiiiii!

Couldn't sleep so I watched Fright Night, the new re-make with David Tennant and Anton Yelchin. And it was...like, the BEST movie I have seen in a long time. Granted it's a movie about vampires, so it's not a masterpiece like The King's Speech, but it was fantastic. And David Tennant was so UNF in it. And I could fangirl for a very long time. Instead I'll shut up. ...shortly.

But seriously, if you like vampire flicks or David Tennant or Anton Yelchin, watch it. It's awesome. Also David Tennant talks about his chaffed crotch in it. Hehhehehehheheehehe chaffed! Ahem. Leather yum.

I need icons stat! Have Bruce Campbell instead. He has nothing to do with the movie but his chin is large because he couldn't contain all his awesome in his face otherwise.

I am in the US and already I have lost my cousin. Not...dramatically. She was going to meet me in the international arrivals lounge and here I sit and I cannot find her. So, alas, I think my San Fransico Sara plans have been dealt a deathly blow.

I am so dramatic when I am sleepy. Also I was talking to my step-daddy and the stupid phone cut me off :( And my mommy isn't home to complain to. HUMPH! And today is very windy up in the skies. Both flights have been like long earthquakes. In the air. In a tube.

I slept on the plane and totally snored. Buuahaha! I also watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes twice because once I chose it and then they showed it again on the long flight where they don't have on demand. So I got to notice all the parts they edited out. Like Draco Malfoy's Tom Felton's fate. It just went black. Glad I saw it with that bit in because...uhm...yeah. Also James Franco is tasty as is Frieda Pinto.

All I can see out the window here is smog and smart carts. But it's a magical land, yo. GOD the US depresses me so much. Seriously. And no one is here yet to make it better!

EDIT: The 'welcome to the US' video they showed in customs had all these Americans going "welcome to our country" and not one of them was Native American though they seemed to work every other race of people in there (so at least it wasn't white-washed which is something). You'd think, considering it's a welcome to our country video, they should like...put some of the people who were here first in the damn video. Just a thought.

I got the second part of my loan finally. Six class weeks before the end of the year, but at least that means all the work I have done this year wasn't for nothing!

We have been watching Star Trek: The Original Series and it is awesome. Even if the 60s-era misogyny is rampant. I love Bones, Spock and Kirk. They are so in a three-way relationship.

Mexican food and The Trip last night was awesome too! I love Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan! They are brilliant together. And now I want to watch A Cock and Bull Story again sometime! Their banter is the best thing about it. Their banter and Dylan Moran hanging with Gillian Anderson.

Since I had slept basically the entire weekend, I was up yesterday for 24 hours. So the last 45 minutes or so of the movie was hard to stay awake for, but I'm so glad I didn't fall asleep. And not just because no one needs to hear my great honking snores. I would have been so sad to miss it.

Sometime this week I need to start my law essay and make an appointment to get my prescription renewed. But things are looking up, even if I am still really tired. And soon there will be curry! :D And then I will eat more of my giant dinosaur-lolly from Laura!

..last night I had a dream Neil Gaiman was my dad. It was awesome. Even if, for ONCE, I wish I could not have a lucid dream. Strangely, being aware that your dreams aren't real even as you dream them is kind of tiring.

It's Alison's birthday and we went to Captain America which I didn't expect to love, but I did. It was awesome. The ending made me so happy. But I will not give it away.

Of course it doesn't detract from the fact that nothing is going right at the moment and I want to claw my eyeballs out or spend every second screaming, but it was nice despite that. There was lunch at Drexel's and soon there will be brinner and then bed because I slept through Sunday again so I have been up for about 18 hours now. And I have been tired for 12 of them. Tired and sick and blah and ffff and hatehatehate.

Watching all the old Halloween movies in a row (in between sleeping) is a weird experience. It seems Donald Pleasance as Dr Loomis only exists to not be believed. He shows up in a place to be all "MICHAEL MEYERS IS HERE! IT IS EVIL! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!" and people are all 'whatevs, old man, you don't know even though you have spent more time with him than any human being ever and you are a doctor for a reason and throughout the series you get burned and face him all the time and stuff. But hush your face because you don't know ANYTHING'. So then he gets to do his amazing over-acting. "WHHYYYYYYYYYYYYY EVVVIILLLLLL EYYESSSSS! MICHAEELLLL! GO HOME, MICHAEL!" Not that I don't love him because I do, but man.

Also I have never seen the 6th one before. LOL whut? Why does everyone say Sam Hain instead of pronouncing it properly? Also that movie is a load of bullshit. Now I want to watch Rob Zombie's one again :D WHEEE HALLOWEEEEN

I am already all tired again and I have only been away for a few hours. Ffff.

I got all dressed up tonight and made my housemates say "WHOA!" so that was nice!

Date was awesome! Really beautiful, funny, interesting and thoughtful girl. Nice food, and a silly movie with Chris O'Dowd in it. And a run-in with a surprise Ness! All in all, an awesome evening out even though I probably shouldn't have been out. So tired now. I will sleep for a very long time, but that was what I needed. Stupid bed. I never thought I would get sick of seeing you.

Also, I had cheesecake. <3 We are having relations, cheesecake and I*. Oh yes.

So, last night we went to see Black Swan and it was awesome and messed up. And then, just now, Alison said THIS.

Alison: "Last night I had this dream, and I don't remember all of it. It was like Black Swan and I woke up like :|. But all I remember is that Rupert Grint was the Red Swan."

And I just laughed so hard my lungs hurt. Again. :D Imagining that movie with Ron Weasley instead of Natalie Portman is just...hilarious.
